Let’s talk about this Monster!!

 If anyone has been on a diet, we all know about cravings. And this one is just like the rest of them. Hey, I liked my ice cream, cakes, pies, chocolate, chips, etc, etc, etc.

I listened to people that had removed sugars from their diet – Hey, what’s your secret? Nothing! But always in the end they would express how healthy they were eating. Eating high quality veggies, meats, fish, etc. Well, there goes my grocery bill! Up and Up! Back to those same old diets!!

I want to stop your train of thought right here!!!

My grocery bill is less than half now!! And it’s not what you think😊

I eat fish, beef, pork, chicken, etc. Not much of a veggie eater, but if someone whips up a good stir fry – I’m in!

I want you to do something. Take every diet you have tried and throw it out the window! Stop with the diets! Get rid of that thinking! Eat what you have been eating.

The grocery store is your worst enemy. I was not into sugar free or light stuff. When I started this program, instead of 3 bags of chips, I bought 2. Instead of 5 chocolate bars, I bought 4. Instead of a big box of cereal, I bought a smaller one. Over a couple of months, I was doing okay, slowly removing sugars. But one day in the grocery store, doing my normal thing, I got struck by a realization. Was going to grab some chocolate bars, hold up Joe, you have 8 at home. Same with the chips, I have 5 bags at home, and 3 boxes of cereal. My shopping had become a habit! My mind was still thinking about my old eating habits. Not difficult to change, just weird!

I had a serious addiction to sugar. My body and mind are going through a huge healing process. When I thought I was quitting, my mind and body caught a breather to adjust to each other. Catch your breath and move forward again! I was learning as I was going along. I felt like someone put me in a dark room, spun me around a twice and said – Find the light switch! Are you serious?! I had no idea what I was doing, where I was going or where I would end up. It took me 5 months to totally break the addiction. I have no fear of sugars! I formed new and better habits. No cravings! My attitude. Well, let’s just say “ I feel great “!!

When I look back at what I went through...

I would have stopped being so hard on myself sooner. Learned to relax. Sipped my coffee and enjoyed the moment!

My health is returning, and my body is repairing itself! 

Now it becomes your story. You are your only obstacle. Not your family, relatives, friends!!
